Prepare for the raining days in Hue City, Vietnam
Hello from Huế, Việt Nam
Coming to Hue City in winter, you would definitely encounter the rain, which is sometimes considered as a speciality of this city. To help you stay dry and enjoy your trip, we recommended some useful items in the video below.
First on the list is, of course, an umbrella. In Vietnamese, this is called “một cây dù” or “một cái ô”, and you can also say “một cái dù”. While an umbrella is perfect for light drizzles, heavier rain calls for something more “powerful” – a raincoat, or “một cái áo mưa”. Moreover, to be fully protected from the rain, don’t forget gloves and boots, which mean “găng tay” and “đôi bốt”, respectively.
A quick tip: when naming objects in Vietnamese, you may need articles like “cái” or “cây”, which are commonly used before nouns. Besides, “a” or “an” or “one” all mean “một”.
We hope these tips help you stay warm and dry during your time in Hue City. For more practical advice and insights about traveling in Vietnam, be sure to follow us for future blogs.
